Biography

Craig has substantial and extensive experience representing both individual employers and multi-employer groups in complex labor, employment law, labor relations and related workplace matters. A significant part of the practice is devoted to defending employers in cases alleging discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination and wage and hour violations. The firm has successfully concluded many civil rights complaints filed with the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission and the corollary state agencies prior to the onset of litigation. Craig has successfully negotiated settlements of large class action wage and hour cases challenging both the misclassification of employees and the alleged failure to properly pay overtime wages.

Before going into private practice, Craig developed a special concentration in traditional labor law having spent 10 years as a trial attorney with the National Labor Relations Board. Given this expertise, he continues to represent employers involved in all aspects of union organizational activity and defending employers accused of committing unfair labor practices. Craig also has extensive experience representing employers in grievance-arbitration proceedings and has handled over 250 arbitrations. The firm also counsels employers in both public and private sector collective bargaining.

The practice includes a wide range of industries such as construction, health care, hospitality, manufacturing, real estate, technology and transportation.

Craig is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell, a national directory of attorneys. The AV rating is the highest and represents “very high to preeminent” status and is awarded based upon a peer review.

Craig was born in New York City. He and his wife Sarah have two daughters. Personal interests include serving as a member of the Weston Volunteer Fire Department.
